Education

TALENT PROGRAM

At Nurtur + Spa, we believe the foundation of our team’s success is our comprehensive training program for new professionals. Novice or experienced, our new team members take advanced education courses in hair cutting, hair color, esthetics, and guest care. Our program includes class-based technical practice on mannequin heads and live models, as well as one-on-one training in our salons with a Nurtur Mentor. Education courses are taught by our Aveda certified in-salon coaches.

The length of time in Nurtur’s talent program fluctuates according to skillset, Aveda knowledge, and ability to progress in the program. A vital part of our talent program is a mentorship with a Nurtur Mentor. Mentors are trusted and highly skilled Nurtur professionals who are paired with new talent professionals. The focus of the mentor relationship is to build a foundation of best practices that new professionals will carry with them throughout their career. A mentor pairing can last from four to eight months, and new talent professionals may take part in two or more rounds of mentorship.

Upon completion of the mentorship phase and all required education classes, Nurtur Talent professionals will advance to their own chair and are officially on their way to building their own personal brand within the Nurtur family.

ADVANCED EDUCATION

We believe that learning is an ongoing, ever-evolving journey that should be as diverse and unique as our team members and their needs. In order to nurture our experience professionals’ continued growth, we host in-salon classes taught by a wide array of respected salon and spa educators from across the country.
