Microblading is designed to help enhance a client’s natural features. The results are softer and more refined than traditional body tattooing. Pigments are used during microblading versus standard tattoo ink, resulting in a natural look designed to fade over time. This gradual fade givesyour service provider theability to make alterations in shape and color as the client’s facial appearance changes over time. You can expect to need to refresh your microbladed brows every 1-2 years.

Our goal is to give our clients the most detailed, customized experience. We want you to feel comfortable and excited for your new set of eyebrows. Before each microblading appointment we will consult with you to discuss your brow shape goals. During this consultation your artist will work with you to find the perfect shape to fit your natural features. You will discuss what to expect during the microblading procedure as well as any possible contraindications. The entire appointment from consultation, to procedure, to aftercare lasts less than 3 hours. The microblading procedure itself takes place in a private spa room. A topical lidocaine solution is used as needed to numb the brow area. Most clients find the discomfort minimal and some clients opt out of the numbing solution entirely.

It is essential you follow your aftercare instructions given to you by your service provider to maintain your beautiful brow results! It is normal to see some initial redness after the microblading procedure. You may notice your brows looking slightly darker than you imagined, this is also normal during the first few days and they will heal to a natural look. Between weeks 2-3 your brows will most likely lighten and soften significantly- Do not worry! Around 4-6 weeks your skin will be fully healed, revealing the true color and look of your microbladed brows. At this point you are ready for your perfecting session. The perfecting session assesses any areas that did not fully retain pigment.

Common contraindications include, but are not limited to:

• If you are pregnant or nursing
• Botox within the last month
• Accutane within the last year
• Allergy to lidocaine

• Does it hurt?

  There is some discomfort involved with microblading, but a topical lidocaine solution is used to numb the area. Some clients even opt of out the lidocaine solution, as they find the discomfort to be minimal.

• What factors affect the tattoo long term?

  Normal, dry and combination skin types often see longer lasting results than those with excessive oiliness. Excessive sun exposure can result in fading and softening of your results. Any skin care products or treatments designed to increase cell turnover (ex: chemical peels, exfoliants) will soften results. Darker pigment choices tend to last longer than lighter shades.

• How old do I have to be?

  You must be at least 18 years of age.

• How long do microbladed brows last?

  Results typically last at least 12 months. Most clients will need a refresher between 12-24 months. The rate of gradual fading varies depending on skin type and lifestyling. We offer multiple options for touch ups to keep your microbladed brows looking their best.

• How many treatments are needed?

  Generally, most clients will need two treatments- the initial procedure and then a perfecting session after 4-6 weeks.

• What should I do before my appointment?

  If you have a general shape or aesthetic in mind gather a few reference photos. Avoid waxing or tweezing the week before your appointment (we can remove stray hairs during the procedure). No alcohol or blood thinners 72 hours prior to the appointment. Avoid tanning or sunburn prior to the appointment (a peeling sunburn will take the pigment right with it).

• What should I do after my appointment?

• What should I do for long term care?

  After completely healing,use a good sunscreen to protect from fading. Chemical peels, excessive exfoliation, laser treatments and other procedures should be avoided on your microbladed brows.

• Will cosmetic tattooing work for me?

  Extremely oily skin will cause the pigment to fade faster and look more diffused. If you have very little to no brow hair your results will look more 2-dimensional rather than those with more naturally occurring hair.

• What hygienic standards are in place to keep the studio clean and safe?

  We take pride in having a clean, relaxing environment to work in. Our procedure area has been inspected by the Health Department and follows all Ohio tattooing regulations. The workspace is disinfected between every client and all of the tools and supplies are sterile single use only.

• What are the possible contraindications?

  Pregnant or nursing, use of Accutane in the last year, excessively oily skin, scarring in the brow area, Botox within the last month, a lidocaine allergy, any form of cancer or an autoimmune disease, known allergy to any pigments or aftercare ingredients.
